Kerebiç is an indigenous dessert of Mersin. It is highly preferred especially in Ramadan and religious feasts. Semolina is rolled into dough, optionally with walnuts or pistachios, and cooked. Kerebiç seems like a type of cookie, but what makes it special is the soaproot sauce it is served with. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and enjoy this light dessert!
